Easter Holidays

We intend to joy these two weeks together as much as possible.
The possibility of Joe having a few days off next week excites me beyond belief!!

A few snaps of this week so far!

Slight girl issues with hair getting in ice lolly today. She coped fabulously!

Flying the nest

So the time came when my last baby took her first trip to pre school.
In an excited frenzy of 'I must run really fast to get in and have as much play time as possible' she fell head over hills and started her first session with a bruised and scraped head and full of tears.
Less than ideal but at least it took the attention away from me about to choke up
into a hysterical blubbering mess.

She was all guns blazing, ready to take on this new stage in her life. She hasn't stopped talking about it, hasn't stopped wanting to wear her backpack, in the hope that if she puts it on we may go back very soon.
One morning a week I really don't think will be enough for her.
We'll see...

In the meantime, what do I do with my one morning of child free time? A whole 3 and a half hours of peace and no nagging. I'm kinda loving the possibilities.
Maybe i'll take up yoga or spinning classes. Or have a morning nap.

Elsie Gem

Two years of pure joy, our little madam fills our hearts with nothing but love.
How did we get here? Where did those 2 years vanish to?
Her strong willed nature is captivating (If a little irritating when you want her to do something...)
I love the way her whispy hair tucks behind her ears.
We will be forever thankful for what she brings to us all, for her little ways that the boys always notice.
For the way she curls up on our laps to read a book.
Her phrases that we find ourselves saying more often that the right way.
She has exceeded all expectations for a 3rd child. She has completed our unit.
Happy birthday our beautiful girl! xxxxxxxx

Family Photo Friday #10

Heeey!

Firstly, a big THANK YOU to Hannah for letting me host this week!
How exciting that the reason behind me taking over this week is because her little baby has been born! A beautiful baby girl, a full head of hair and scrummy chubby cheeks!
Congratulations Family Hall!

I have had a week from hell this week, lots of tantrums and star charts and trying to figure out how to resolve these issues.
So this week I am sharing a family photo from the past!
Our little girl is turning 2 next week so i'm reminiscing to the max.

Elsie was born the early hours of the morning at home and Harvey woke up once she was dressed and everything cleaned away. It was so so special!

My favourite from last week was from Becoming a Stay at home mum! I love a good outdoor walk, right up our street!

Let's recap the rules!

  • Share a family photo from your week just gone. It needn't be a Family Photo Friday specific post, I don't mind you recycling! You can join in weekly, monthly or just whenever you can. It can be a formal portrait or a snap from your phone, something you posed for or something you caught when no one was looking. It could be from a day out, a gathering, an activity at home, it doesn't matter so long as it gives a snap shot of what your family looked like during the week that's just been.
  • Give us a brief explanation of your photo.
  • I'd love it if you could grab the badge to add at the bottom of your post and Tweet about it using #familyphotofriday - my Twitter handle is @oneformybaby12.
  • Pop over to visit at least two other bloggers and see what they've been doing - maybe you can watch their family grow and change too!
  • Leave a comment if you can.

  • I promise to visit as many of you as I can and I'll pick my favourite photo to share next Friday.

    Happy photo-taking and memory-making!

    Living Arrows

I'm a bit in love with this link up. Go check out iheartsnapping and give them some love!
I love looking at other photography blogs, especially when its mainly aimed at their children!
If you love taking pictures of your little sproglets, then be sure to link up!

Here are my entries for this week -

(Not actually sure you're meant to share more than 1 but hey... pick your favourite!)

Most of these pictures were taken inbetween mammoth tantrums. The kinda tantrums that make me on the brink of banging my head against a brick wall.
They are fierce, they are almighty, they are incredible.
I genuinely don't know how to handle them. My 3.5year old is making me turn into one of those mums. The ones that shout accross the playground, the ones you almost pity.
The child that you are glad you don't have to look after because they are clearly highly strung.
I have a phrase on loop in my head and the majority of the time i say it out loud...

'Its just a phase.. My child doesn't hate me. Its definitely just a phase'

All will be fine. It will be.
Its just another one of those parent lessons we will never actually know the answer to.
